I write prestige drama and thrillers ripped straight from the American underworld arms traffickers, failed towns, survivor worlds, institutional decay, and the mythic frontier where identity meets violence and something has to give.

Before moving into film and television, I spent over a decade as one of America’s sharpest investigative reporters on guns, policing, corruption, and extremist networks. I’ve hunted stories in biker bars, courtrooms, crime scenes, and border towns — covering everything from Texas outlaw biker gangs and neo-Nazi hitmen to lost military weapons and dirty cops.

My award-winning work has helped spark Congressional bills, shifted federal enforcement priorities, and been cited as evidence in major cases  including before the U.S. Supreme Court.

I’m a two-branch veteran and former Texas cop who wrote his way off the farm and now I turn the places America pretends don’t exist into stories it can’t ignore.
